MY OVERWHELMING LACK OF DESIRE
I don't want anything.
I just don't want anything.
I'm so tired of it all
All the tasks it takes to keep me alive
All the feelings I'm supposed to be having
All thoughts for the future -and that is where I lose my nerve
At the thought of these thoughts
Like a plague at my heels
Chasing me the rest of my life.
All I want is to be left in peace
And not have to do it all over again, ever again.

I think poetry is so emotional with so many deep feelings resonating in the words that it can't be critiqued. I think writing what you want and getting it on paper is the most important thing of all. By the way, thanks for visiting my blog!
Your wrong writing muse of cource it can be critiqued?????? there is good poetry and bad poetry and if you dont think so then read fuckin McGonagall you fool!!!
the irony of it all, eh?

"...All I want is to be left in peace
And not have to do it all over again, ever again. "
if you know what i mean..
i find it funny. having to want nothing, but still crave for something we can't have at present.
--- thanks for giving me the link to Khalil Gibran's "On Love". I've read it before, but it's nice to be reminded of it. I enjoyed it a lot.
oh my god cornealius is right! McGonagall is THE worst poet I have ever read
I would have to side with the majority on this one. Poetry definately can be critiqued and McGonagall is terrible.
If anybody reading this agrees, I've started a communal link exchange site for people who write poetry online. It's an endeavor to increase communication and constructive criticism between literary people. Check it out and post me back: The Poets Union
i totally relate to this post...
